This sentiment is shared by  Daniel J. Kruger who is a research investigator at the University of Michigan. In his words,  many of the crackdowns are as a result of federal health regulators arguing that delta-8 products cause hospitalizations.

This could not be farther from the truth as 51% of the examined customers reported that they have used delta-8 THC to treat medical and health conditions like stress, panic attacks, depression, bipolar disorder and chronic pain.It is also difficult to look past the existing irony for the banning of delta-8 THC. In 14 states where its use has been prohibited, six have legalized adult-use cannabis, 10 have legal medical use markets and the remaining three have decriminalized recreational use. This is very conflicting when you consider the effects that delta-8 THC already has.
